Compression sock size chart and how to measure
Compression socks are sized by your calf, not your shoe. Measure the widest part of your calf in the morning and match it to the chart below. Between sizes? Choose the larger one.

How to measure your calf
Measure in the morning
Legs swell during the day, so measure soon after you get up, before swelling builds.
Sit with your foot flat
Sit on a chair with your knee bent at a right angle and your foot flat on the floor.
Find the widest part of your calf
Wrap a soft tape measure around the fullest part of your calf, usually a hand-width below the back of the knee.
Keep the tape snug, not tight
The tape should lie flat on the skin without pressing in. Read the number in inches.
Match it to the chart
Find your calf measurement in the chart. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.
Compression socks that fit well feel snug but never painful. Take them off if you notice numbness, tingling, a change in skin colour or pain, and check the size.
Sizing questions
What size compression socks do I need?
Size by the widest part of your calf. Our sizes: M 8-11 inches, L 11-13 inches, XL 13-16 inches, 2XL 16-18 inches, 3XL 18-20 inches. Your shoe size is only a cross-check.
What if I am between sizes?
Choose the larger size. A sock that is too tight at the calf can dig in and is harder to zip, while one size up still gives graduated compression.
Do I measure one leg or both?
Measure both. Many people have one calf slightly larger than the other. Use the larger measurement.
My calf is over 20 inches. Will 3XL fit?
Our 3XL fits calves from 18 to 20 inches. If your calf is larger, we are not the right fit yet. A certified fitter or a made-to-measure stocking will fit better.
Can I exchange for a different size?
Yes. If the size is wrong, contact us within 90 days of delivery and we will send the right size, with a free US return label for the first pair.
